Ogden Valley Points of Interest

 

Pineview Reservoir

It’s hard not to notice this reservoir in the Ogden Valley when you come to Camp UTABA. It is a great recreation area with boating, fishing, and swimming areas. This area can get very busy on hot summer weekends.

North Fork Park Trails

Camp UTABA sits adjacent to Weber County’s North Fork Park and trails. These trails are open to the public and are the perfect way to explore the area. Please research and plan accordingly based on the fitness and capabilities of your group. The camp staff can offer recommendations to you.

Dark Sky Preserve

North Fork Park has received the prestigious designation of being a dark sky persevere. Bring your telescope and gaze at the galaxy that will unfold before you free from the urban lighting on the other side of the Wasatch mountains.

Nordic Valley Ski Resort

Nordic Valley Ski Resort is the nearest ski resort to Camp UTABA, but is also the lowest in elevation and thus has the shortest ski season. Click Learn More to see what seasonal activities may be available during the year.

Powder Mountain Ski Resort

This resort is about 30 minutes away from Camp UTABA with limited parking and roads that can become dangerous in winter. Use of shuttles and park and ride lots in Eden is highly encouraged in the winter months. Click Learn More to see what seasonal offerings might be available.

Snowbasin Ski Resort

Snowbasin was an Olympic venue in 2002 and is about 45 minutes away. It offers four-season adventures at their lodges as well as via their gondolas that whisk you near the summit.
